400th Anniversary Edition

For 400 years, the Authorized Version of the Bible–popularly known as the King James Version–has been beloved for its majestic phrasing and stately cadences. No other book has so profoundly influenced our language and our theology. Over time, however, the text has suffered subtle and occasionally troublesome alterations. This edition preserves the original 1611 printing. Word for word and page for page, the text with its original marginal notes, preface, and other introductory material appears as it first did. The sole concession to modernity is a far more readable roman typeface set by nineteenth-century master printers.

“A valuable and essential addition to every Bible library.”
–John R. Kohlenberger III

How to Use

How to Use

1. Find the word that you want to research from your passage of scripture in the front part of the concordance, much like using a dictionary.

For example, the word “love” in Matthew 5:46 –

For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? (New American Standard version)

2. Locate the Strong’s Number for the word.
Once you find the word, you will see a list of Old and New Testament passages in which the word can be found. Next to the reference for each passage is a number, called a Strong’s Number. Regular type indicates a Hebrew word (Old Testament) and italic type indicates a Greek word (New Testament). Note the number for your particular word. In this case, the Strong’s Number for the word “love” used in Matthew 5:46 is 25.

3. Find the word in the Hebrew or Greek dictionary at the back of the concordance, using the Strong’s number.
Our word comes from a New Testament passage and the Strong’s Number is in italics. This means we use the Greek dictionary. You will notice that, just as in the English language, some words are derived from others and have similar meanings. Our word is 25, agapao

4. Why is it important to look up words that I already understand?
Some words in the original languages have meanings and subtleties that could not be expressed in equivalent English words. For example, the word “love” is the English word used for several different Greek words which have different meanings. Elsewhere in Matthew the Strong’s Number 5368 is used for the word “love” which points us to the Greek word phileo (see below).

The 13th Tribe: The Kazar Empire and Its Heritage

This book traces the history of the ancient Khazar Empire, a major but almost forgotten power in Eastern Europe, which in the Dark Ages became converted to Judaism. Khazaria was finally wiped out by the forces of Genghis Khan, but evidence indicates that the Khazars themselves migrated to Poland and formed the cradle of Western Jewry. To the general reader the Khazars, who flourished from the 7th to 11th century, may seem infinitely remote today. Yet they have a close and unexpected bearing on our world, which emerges as Koestler recounts the fascinating history of the ancient Khazar Empire. At about the time that Charlemagne was Emperor in the West. The Khazars’ sway extended from the Black Sea to the Caspian, from the Caucasus to the Volga, and they were instrumental in stopping the Muslim onslaught against Byzantium, the eastern jaw of the gigantic pincer movement that in the West swept across northern Africa and into Spain.
Thereafter the Khazars found themselves in a precarious position between the two major world powers: the Eastern Roman Empire in Byzantium and the triumphant followers of Mohammed. As Koestler points out, the Khazars were the Third World of their day. They chose a surprising method of resisting both the Western pressure to become Christian and the Eastern to adopt Islam. Rejecting both, they converted to Judaism.
Mr. Koestler speculates about the ultimate faith of the Khazars and their impact on the racial composition and social heritage of modern Jewry. He produces detailed research to support a theory which could make the term ‘anti-Semitism’ become void of meaning.

Who Is Esau-Edom?

by Charles A. Weisman

In the ancient time and land of the Bible, nearly 4,000 years ago, Rebekah, the wife of the patriarch Isaac, was informed by God that she would give birth to twins whose fate would be as diverse as their character. The dissimilar and conflicting character and destiny of these twins, Esau and Jacob, would have the most profound impact on future events in the world. This book traces the life & destiny of Esau and his descendants, the Edomites, to the present day, and their connection with modern Jewry. The analysis of the history and Scriptural insight of Esau and the Edomites, will unveil and explain many of the problems in the world. It will offer a new perspective on wars, economic crisis, hate crimes, political conspiracies, Zionism, anti-Semitism, anti-Christianity, government corruption and the Jewish issue. The question of “Who is Esau-Edom” undoubtedly involves the most stupendous drama ever enacted in the annals of man.
